Human Displacement

Definition

Human displacement refers to the forced movement of people from their homes or communities due to various factors such as conflicts, natural disasters, or development projects. It often results in individuals and families being uprooted and having to seek refuge elsewhere.

Analogy

Imagine if your neighborhood was suddenly flooded by heavy rain, making it unsafe for you and your neighbors to stay in your homes. You would have no choice but to temporarily move somewhere else until the floodwaters recede. This temporary relocation represents human displacement on a larger scale.
