Electrostatic Precipitator
Definition
An electrostatic precipitator is a device used to remove particulate matter from industrial exhaust gases by using an electric charge to attract and collect the particles.
Analogy
Think of an electrostatic precipitator as a giant static cling sticker that attracts and removes lint from your clothes in the dryer.
