Definition
An operator is a symbol or keyword used in programming to perform specific operations on variables or values.
Analogy
Think of an operator as a tool in your programming toolbox. Just like you would use a hammer to drive nails or a screwdriver to tighten screws, operators are used to manipulate data in different ways.
