Definition

A quadrilateral is a polygon with four sides. It is characterized by having four vertices (corners) and four angles.

Analogy

Imagine you have four friends standing at different corners of a square field. Each friend represents one side of the quadrilateral, and together they form the shape of a quadrilateral.
