Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) is a weekly session in the British Parliament where Members of Parliament (MPs) have the opportunity to question the Prime Minister on current issues and government policies.
Imagine you're in a classroom and it's time for Q&A with your teacher. Instead of asking questions about homework, MPs get to ask the Prime Minister about important national matters during PMQs.
House of Commons: The lower house of the British Parliament where MPs debate and make laws.
Question Time: Similar to PMQs, this is a session in other parliamentary systems where government officials are questioned by members of parliament.
Opposition Leader: The leader of the political party that has the second-largest number of seats in parliament, who challenges and criticizes the actions of the ruling party.
