Think of political participation as being like a team sport. Just like how players actively engage in the game to help their team win, individuals engage in political participation to have a say in shaping their government and society.

Social Movements: Social movements are collective efforts by groups of people who come together around a common cause or issue to bring about social or political change.
Interest Groups: Interest groups are organized associations that seek to influence public policy on behalf of specific interests or causes. They often advocate for policies that benefit their members or constituents.
