LGBTQ+ is an acronym representing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (trans), queer/questioning (Q), and other sexual orientations/gender identities beyond heterosexual/cisgender norms.
Think of LGBTQ+ as a vibrant rainbow flag that represents diversity and inclusivity. Just like how each color contributes to the beauty of the rainbow flag, every letter in LGBTQ+ represents different identities coming together under one inclusive umbrella.
Gender identity: An individual's deeply held sense of their gender, which may or may not align with the sex assigned at birth.
Homophobia: Prejudice, discrimination, or hostility towards individuals who identify as homosexual.
Transgender rights: Advocacy for equal rights and protections for individuals whose gender identity differs from the sex assigned at birth.
