A strong and forceful expression of opposition or disapproval towards a particular action, decision, or event.
Imagine you are at a school assembly where the principal announces that there will be no more recess. The students would likely have a strong and forceful reaction, expressing their opposition by shouting, booing, and even walking out of the assembly. This is similar to a backlash.
抵制 (Dǐzhì): A form of protest where people refuse to buy or use certain products or services as a way to express their disapproval.
反对 (Fǎnduì): To express disagreement or resistance towards something.
示威 (Shìwēi): A public gathering or march where people show their support for or opposition against something through signs, chants, and other forms of expression.
