Strong Base

Definition

A strong base is a substance that can completely dissociate in water, producing hydroxide ions (OH-) and the corresponding cations.

Analogy

Think of a strong base like a professional basketball player. When they get on the court (or in water), they don't hold back - they give it their all (completely dissociate) and score points (produce OH- ions).
