pH Resistance

Definition

pH resistance refers to how well a solution can resist changes to its pH when small amounts of an acid or base are added.

Analogy

Consider pH resistance as your phone's battery life. Just as your phone resists dying out quickly when used moderately due to good battery life, similarly, solutions with high pH resistance can resist changes in pH when small amounts of acid or base are added.
