Mass of Metal

Definition

This term refers to how much matter is present within a given quantity or sample of metal. It's typically measured in grams (g) or kilograms (kg).

Analogy

Consider mass as if you're baking cookies. The amount of flour you use (its mass) will determine how many cookies you can make. Similarly, the mass of metal tells us how much of that metal we have to work with in a chemical reaction or process.
