Density

Definition

Density refers to how closely packed or crowded something is within a given area or volume. In calculus, it can refer to how closely spaced the slope field lines are in relation to each other.

Analogy

Think of density as people standing in line at a concert. If there are lots of people packed tightly together, we would say that the density is high. Similarly, if there are only a few people spread out, we would say that the density is low.
