Transpiration

Definition

Transpiration is essentially plant sweat; it's when water vapor escapes from plants into the atmosphere through tiny pores called stomata.

Analogy

Imagine your skin as being similar to leaves on trees. When you exercise and sweat, your body releases moisture just like plants release water vapor through transpiration when they "breathe".
