The trans face is the shipping side of the Golgi apparatus in a cell, where modified proteins and lipids are sorted and packaged into vesicles that transport them to their final destinations.
Think of the trans face as the post office's outgoing mail department. After receiving letters (proteins) from various sources, it sorts them out, packages them properly (in vesicles), and sends them off to their respective addresses (parts of the cell or outside it).
Golgi Apparatus: An organelle in cells that modifies, sorts, and packages proteins and lipids for transport to different parts of the cell or outside it.
Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER): A network of membranous tubules within the cytoplasm of a eukaryotic cell where protein synthesis occurs. Proteins are then sent to Golgi apparatus for further modification.
Vesicle Trafficking: The process by which vesicles deliver cargo from one part of a cell to another or between cells.
