Renaturation

Definition

The process by which proteins or nucleic acids regain their native conformation after being denatured.

Analogy

Let's go back to our sandcastle analogy. After the wave has destroyed your castle, you decide not to give up and rebuild it again using the same sand. This rebuilding process is akin to renaturation - proteins and nucleic acids regaining their original form after being disrupted by external factors.
