Gene products are molecules produced as result of gene expression. These could be proteins or RNA molecules depending on whether they're translated into protein or not.
Consider gene products as items produced by an assembly line (the gene). Depending on what instructions (DNA) were given to this assembly line, different products (proteins/RNA) will be made.
Transcription: Transcription is process where information in DNA strand is copied into new molecule of messenger RNA(mRNA).
Translation: Translation is the process where genetic information coded in mRNA directs the formation of a specific protein at a ribosome in the cytoplasm.
Protein Synthesis: Protein synthesis is the process by which cells build proteins according to instructions from DNA.
