Environmental management involves making decisions about how we interact with our environment, aiming to prevent harmful effects on ecosystems caused by human activities.

Analogy

Imagine you're at a party at your friend's house. You want everyone to have fun but also make sure no one breaks anything or makes too much mess - that's environmental management. We want people (and businesses) to do what they need while ensuring they don't damage our 'house' - Earth.
