🤝 Volunteering

Make sure to consult your college list to see if they have any volunteer hour guidelines for admission! Check with your high school counselor to see if there any graduation requirements as well.

You should already have volunteered in earlier school years, so take Junior year to contribute to organizations and causes that mean a lot to you! Make sure you are tracking your hours, and log them as you go along.

🎉 Extracurriculars

This is the time to really dial in on what's important to you and your application. Highlight a love for music by joining a local orchestra or singing in a band, or show off an affinity for robotics by competing in your school or state.

Extracurriculars from your Junior year are imperative, as they are the most recent and reflective of your character. Zero in on passions relevant to your career path, hobbies that have been essential to your success, and outside-of-school commitments that take up time and energy. It's likely that you will be writing some form of an essay about an extracurricular, so make sure you have something to showcase!
