The Western Hemisphere is a geographical term for the half of Earth which lies west of the prime meridian (which crosses Greenwich, London) and east of the Antimeridian. It includes North and South America.
Going back to our apple analogy, if you're looking at that sliced apple straight-on with its stem pointing upwards, the other half would represent our Western Hemisphere - containing countries like Canada or Brazil!
North America: A continent entirely within Northern and Western Hemispheres.
South America: A continent located in both Southern and Western Hemispheres.
Prime Meridian: The line of 0° longitude, defined to pass through the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London; divides Eastern and Western Hemispheres.
