A fixed ratio schedule is a system of reinforcement in operant conditioning where a response is reinforced only after a specified number of responses.
Think about your favorite coffee shop's loyalty card which offers you one free coffee after every ten purchases. The reward (free coffee) comes after a fixed number of actions (buying ten coffees). That's like fixed ratio reinforcement!
