An eating disorder characterized by frequent and recurrent binge eating episodes with associated negative psychological and social problems, but without subsequent purging episodes.
Imagine you're at a buffet where you keep piling food onto your plate even though you're already full. You can't seem to stop yourself from eating more. This is similar to binge-eating disorder - consuming large amounts of food in a short time period, often past the point of comfortable fullness.
Emotional Eating: The practice of consuming large quantities of food -- usually 'comfort' or junk foods -- in response to feelings instead of hunger.
Food Addiction: A behavioral addiction that is characterized by the compulsive consumption of high-fat and high-sugar foods which leads to health issues such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease etc.
Obesity: A complex disease involving an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity isn't just a cosmetic concern. It's a medical problem that increases your risk of other diseases and health problems.
