節分 (Setsubun)

Definition

Setsubun is a Japanese festival held on February 3rd to mark the transition from winter to spring. It involves throwing roasted soybeans outside while shouting "Oni wa soto, fuku wa uchi" ("Demons out, fortune in") to drive away evil spirits.
