Societal attitudes refer to the commonly held beliefs, values, and norms within a society or group. These attitudes can shape behaviors, perceptions, and policies.
Think of societal attitudes like the weather in a city. Just as the weather influences how people dress and behave (like wearing coats in winter or sunglasses in summer), societal attitudes influence how people think and act within their community.
Prejudice: A preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
Norms: The unwritten rules about how to behave in a particular social group or culture.
Values: The principles or standards of behavior; one's judgment of what is important in life.
