Provinces are geographical areas within a country that have their own local government but are subordinate to the central government.
Provinces are like different classrooms in a school. Each classroom has its teacher (local government) who manages things on a day-to-day basis but ultimately answers to the principal (central government).
Federalism: A system where power is divided between national and subnational governments.
Devolution: The transfer or delegation of power from central government to regional or local authorities.
Administrative Division: A portion of a country established for political administration purposes; provinces fall under this category.
