Ecological factors refer to the environmental conditions and influences that affect the growth, survival, and development of organisms or a specific species.
Think of ecological factors like the settings on your phone. Just as your phone's performance can be affected by its brightness level, battery health, or Wi-Fi connection, an organism's survival and growth are influenced by various environmental conditions such as temperature, light intensity, soil quality etc.
Biotic Factors: These are living components that affect an organism or influence an ecosystem. They include all organisms in an environment such as plants, animals and microorganisms.
Abiotic Factors: These are non-living physical and chemical elements in an ecosystem like sunlight, temperature, wind velocity etc., which can influence how organisms grow and survive.
Habitat: This is the natural home or environment of an animal, plant or other organism. It provides them with food and shelter necessary for survival.
