Discrimination refers to the unjust or prejudiced treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, sex, or disability.
Imagine you're at a bakery and there are two types of cookies - chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. If the baker only sells chocolate chip cookies to certain customers based on their appearance and refuses to sell them to others for no valid reason, that's discrimination.
Prejudice: A preconceived opinion not based on reason or actual experience; bias.
Stereotype: A widely held but oversimplified image or idea about a particular type of person or thing.
Racism: Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
