A cultural landscape is the visible reflection of a society, including their cultural beliefs and practices, on the physical environment. It's essentially how human activities modify and shape the natural world.
Think of a cultural landscape like an artist's canvas. The canvas (the natural environment) is there to begin with, but it's plain and uninteresting until the artist (society) adds their unique touch to it through painting (human activities).
Cultural Region: This refers to an area where people share common cultural traits such as language, religion or system of livelihood.
Built Environment: This term describes human-made surroundings that provide settings for human activity, ranging from buildings and parks to neighborhoods and cities that can often include their supporting infrastructure, such as water supply or energy networks.
Cultural Diffusion: This is the process by which a cultural trait, material objects, idea or behavior pattern is spread from one society to another.
This type of boundry develops with the cultural landscape, changing as the culture changes, and developes as a result of the nations already living in the region.
