The Romanov line refers to a sequence of rulers from Russia's House of Romanov. This royal family ruled Russia from 1613 until their overthrow by revolutionaries in 1917.
Consider Romanov Line like your favorite TV series that has been running for many seasons (in this case centuries). Each new season brings a new lead character (Tsar), but they're all part of one overarching storyline (the reign of House Romanov).
Nicholas II: He was last Emperor or Tsar of Russia under Romanov line, ruling from 1894 until his forced abdication in 1917.
Alexandra Romanov: Wife of Nicholas II, she was the last Tsarina of Russia and mother to their five children.
Rasputin: A Russian mystic and self-proclaimed holy man who befriended the family of Nicholas II and gained considerable influence in late imperial Russia.
