Chemistry is the scientific study of matter, its properties, how and why substances combine or separate to form other substances, and how substances interact with energy.
Think of chemistry as a dance party. The dancers (atoms) are moving around the room (space), sometimes alone, sometimes pairing up for a dance (chemical reactions). The DJ's music (energy) influences how fast or slow the dancers move and pair up.
Atomic Theory: This is the concept that all matter is composed of discrete units called atoms. It's like saying every dancer at our party has their own unique dance style.
Chemical Reaction: A process that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substances to another. Like when two dancers come together and create an entirely new dance routine.
Periodic Table: A tabular arrangement of chemical elements, organized based on their atomic number, electron configuration, and recurring chemical properties. It's like a guest list for our dance party where everyone is grouped by their favorite dance styles.
