A symbiotic relationship is a close interaction between two different species where at least one organism benefits from the relationship.
Think of a symbiotic relationship like roommates sharing an apartment. They both benefit from splitting rent and utilities, just like organisms in a symbiotic relationship benefit from each other's presence.
Mutualism: A type of symbiotic relationship where both organisms involved benefit from each other.
Commensalism: A type of symbiotic relationship where one organism benefits while the other is neither harmed nor benefited.
Parasitism: A type of symbiotic relationship where one organism (the parasite) benefits at the expense of another organism (the host).
